Raid AddOns
From SeagisWiki
This page contains links to addons that are particularly useful for raiding. Where possible, I will focus on Ace addons, since they're often updated very quickly after major patches, and they provide a nice utility that helps keep addons up to date. Also, since they share common code, using Ace addons reduces memory requirements, essentially giving more bang for the buck.
Additional information on general addons can be found in the Addon Guides.

Raid Communication and Management
oRA2
oRA2 is a light weight mod that communicates raid statuses to other members of the raid. It provides some of the back end functionality that supports some of the addons below, and has a simple GUI for basic functions, such as doing ready checks, who needs rezzes, and things like that.
From the ACE2 wiki:
oRA2 is a lightweight CTRA replacement. It contains everything a raider needs apart from raidframes. It is fully compatible with the messages CTRA sends.
XRaidStatus
XRaidStatus provides a small, configurable window that lists total raid health, mana, dead, afk, etc., to make it easier for raid leaders to determine the status of the raid at a high level.
Buffs
Raid Frames
X-Perl Unit Frames
X-Perl Unit Frames is a replacement for Blizzard's built in unit frames, and allows a great deal of customization of how targets, party, and raid member unit frames are displayed in the UI. This is not an Ace frame, but it is what I'm using, at least until I've had an opportunity to evaluate the Ace alternatives. Specifically, the thing I like about this addon is the healer mode, that shows the number of hitpoints a person is down, rather than how many hit points they have left, which makes it easier to pick your heal spells.
Current version: 2.3.5a (8/23/2007)
SRaidFrames
SRaidFrames is the most likely Ace alternative, though I haven't checked it out in much detail yet.
Grid
Grid is another unit frame addon that seems to emphasize using the minimum amount of screen space, so as not to clutter up the UI too much. Depending on the features this may or may not have, it may or may not be useful.
Others
I also tried PitBull, but found it to require a bit too much configuring out of the box to be really useful. Another addon I'll be checking out is ag_UnitFrames.
Boss Mods
BigWigs
BigWigs is set up to provide alerts when bosses do certain thing, assuming that the boss has been programmed into the addon. Depending on which bosses have been set up, this addon may or may not be useful.
Emergency / Resurrection monitors

Healing/Cleansing Helpers
Clique
Clique is a pretty slick addon that let's you assign spells and abilities to mouse clicks when you click on unit frames in your UI. For example, instead of clicking "Lifebloom", then clicking the person I want to heal (or vice versa if you like targetting people first), you can set it up so you just shift-click on the person's name and they'll get the heal. Makes it easier to manage healing, especially when it gets laggy, and I'm sure it has it's uses for other classes as well.
Latest Version: r84 (7/16/2007)
Decursive
Decursive lists curses and other afflictions that raid members have, and allows configuration of options on what to do about them (it'll be interesting to see if I can set it up to allow cycloning of mind controlled players).
Threat Management
Omen
Omen is the Ace alternative to KLH, and provides some additional functionality, including more detailed threat data, and the ability to track threat on multiple mobs. One nice thing is that it will coexist with KLH. This is the current standard threat meter for Servants of Seagis.
KLHThreatMeter
KLHThreatMeter is like a damage meter, except it records your threat. By monitoring all the abilities you use and checking your talents, armour set bonuses and buffs, the addon can recreate the threat list of a mob. This makes tank transitions simple, and allows DPS to maximise their damage without pulling aggro.
This was the former guild standard for threat meters, but we have since settled on Omen.
