Lowest Level to Enter
(Under Construction)
Instances prevent characters with too low a level from entering. The incomplete list below orders the instances by the minimum level required to enter.
- 8: Ragefire Chasm
- 10: Wailing Caverns
- 10: The Deadmines
- 10: Shadowfang Keep
- 15: The Stockade
- 15: Gnomeregan
- 20: Scarlet Monastery
- 25: Razorfen Downs
- 30: Maraudon
- 35: Zul'Farrak
- 45: Dire Maul
- 55: Hellfire Citadel: Hellfire Ramparts
- 55: Hellfire Citadel: The Blood Furnace
- 55: Hellfire Citadel: Shattered Halls
- 65: Gruul's Lair
- 66: Caverns of Time: Escape from Durnholde Keep
The minimum level to go through the Dark Portal is 58, however, it is possible to access Outland through other means, such as a Mage teleport.
In order to reach the Tempest Keep instances you must have a flying mount or flying form. The minimum level for Tempest Keep instances with this knowledge is 68 for druids and level 70 for all other classes. A warlock cannot summon you to the floating platforms where the doors to the instances are.
Deadmines, Wailing Caverns, and Shadowfang Keep, who is themed for who?
The Deadmines: While accessible by both factions, the only quests existent for it are for Alliance players, Horde players would find it only useful to grind on Cookie for the Siamese Cat.
Wailing Caverns: Quests exist for both, but (Sadly) a healthy amount of players are under the belief that it only has Horde quests.
Shadowfang Keep: Slightly like the Wailing Caverns, other than Paladins and warlocks doing class specific quests there, the dungeon really is only worth going to for Alliance players to aid them. The differences is that WC doesn't have class specific quests, and SFK's only Alliance quests are Pally and walock only. Also note that Alliance players will farm Shadowfang for the two level 19 BoE blue weapons (Sword & Dagger) that sell in upwards of 80g for twink PvP'ers
